Remember when I got stoked about Dubai a few weeks ago?
Well I'm not going. Not until I get rich someday at least.
BUT GUESS WHERE I AM GOING?!
Yeah, you guessed it, Brazil.
Yeah, you guessed it, Brazil.
João Pessoa, Brazil
Sometimes referred to as the city where the sun rises first.
Why? Because it's the easternmost city in all of the Americas.
Also considered the 2nd greenest city in the world, first place is Paris, France.
The climate is tropical and it's located just south of the equator.
In English João Pessoa means John Person.
In 1930 the city was named after a state president (governor) that was assassinated.
According to information from 2009, there were 702,000 people residing in the city.
The racial makeup of the city was 45.72% White, 38.72% Pardo Brown (Multiracial), 2.77% Black, 0.25% Asian or Amerindian.
There is also a significant amount of Croats living in the city.
The city has a new turistic & cultural building that was dedicated in 2008.
It's called the Estação Cabo Branco.
What a fun city.
I can't wait to become a part of it.
As well as the surrounding suburbs and rural areas.
So why am I going?
Because I'm serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Wow, thanks for teaching me about this place. It's almost as diverse as you are. Are these diverse jokes getting old yet? no, no they are not, they are really just getting more relevant.
