peaches & asians

Lately I've been eating about 5 peaches a day.
Okay, sometimes only 4.
They hit the spot every time though.
Thank goodness for my neighbors who have a peach tree.
And for my roommates who are good tree climbers so we can steal them.
Maybe steal isn't the right word...
No, it's the right word.
We got caught in the act, but nobody was mad so it's all good.
Look at this wonderful process.

Pick the peach.
Pass the peach.
Catch the peach.
Fill our windowsill.

 So delicious.
Now let's talk Asians.
I have a lot of them in my life lately.
I don't know exactly when they started gravitating towards me...
Maybe when I went to Asia last year?
Maybe when I did my country report on Japan in 6th grade?
Maybe when I learned how to fold a paper crane in elementary school?
Maybe when I was 3 years old and we hosted a Japanese foreign exchange student?
Yeah, I think I'm destined to be around Asians.
Which is fine.
Hopefully it plays out well for me and I can live in Asia for part of my life.

My favorite Asian of the week is Jing.
He's Chinese, but grew up in South Africa most of his life.
He plays tennis with our crew every Wednesday and made a facebook group for it.
Way tender. He is so friendly.
As if this isn't enough, he also cooks.
The other night during Tuesday Creepin' we caught him in the act.

Using the rest of his leftover rotisserie chicken.

Grilling the onions

Mixing it all with seasoning & soy sauce

The final product

Okay well I know I only documented 4 pictures, but it was quite the process.
I was incredibly impressed.
All I eat are eggo waffles & pasta from a box.
Am I even a real woman?
Okay, yes I am, but I just don't take the time to be domestic.

Moral of the story: Asians are more hard working than me.
