something better

So I don't know if I've ever mentioned before that I'm a way big fan of the SUU trackletes. 

Mostly it started in the summer when we moved in across the street from a house full of them. 

Such a good subculture of Cedar City.

Two of my favorites are

 &Elijah

He was recently the Summit League Athlete of the Week.

And we had a photo shoot the other day. He really liked it so don't let his lack of enthusiasm fool you into thinking that he didn't.

 What was the point of this photo shoot you ask? 

To get just one photo of him smiling at the camera looking way good to put on a t-shirt and wear to the cross-country meet. 

Clearly, that didn't happen. 

But it doesn't matter because I missed the meet.

The only meet in Cedar City the whole year.

The meet I'd been waiting months to attend.

Am I mad?

No. Because I sacrificed something that would have been good for something that was better.

I'll just get right to it.

Did I witness it from behind a bush across the temple lawn?

Yes, yes I did. 

Was it the first time I've ever seen a marriage proposal?

Yes, yes it was.

Is my life better because of them and their example of celestial love?

Yes, yes it is.

I'm way sad I'll be losing my roommate, but Joseph is the perfect person to lose her to.
