sounds of the season

This year I'm one of those people who started listening to Christmas music the very first day it snowed.
It was before Halloween.
When the snow melted I ventured into other things.
For example, I rediscovered OK Go and how much I love them.
Take this video for example.
I watched it like 10 times last Saturday.
And I watched the documentary of how it was made.
It took 89 tries to get a perfect run through.
I also discovered another video they made of the same song.
We all know how I feel about marching bands.
I'm not overly obsessed with this song, but OK Go sure knows how to make a good video.

Now that the snow is finally here to stay after a blizzard filled weekend I've turned back to Christmas music.
I have so much.
What are my favorite albums this season, you ask?
  • Allred's Holiday EP
  • A Very She & Him Christmas
  • Indigo Girls - Holly Happy Days
  • and soon to be purchased... Michael Buble - Christmas
This song right here is my current favorite holiday jam:

Also, in other seasonal news, I've made a goal to cut down a real Christmas tree to put in our apartment this year.
And when I say I've made a goal to cut it down, I mean I found a cute boy who knows how to chop down trees and my goal is to get him to do it.

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

  1. I think a lumberjack would be most appropriate for this Christmas tree chopping experience.
