Home is where the heart is.

There are few things that I love more than coming around the point of the mountain being welcomed into the Salt Lake Valley.

As if the pure beauty of the valley isn't enough there is a nice view of the prison to remind you just how edgy things are up here. I wonder if the Utah State Prison has a website that is as informative as this Iron County Jail website. I check it quite regularly. And YES I have ran into people around SUU's campus that I recognize from the site. Is it more appropriate to say something like "Hey, rough weekend?" or "How does it feel to be free?" I never know.

But anyways. Along with loving the beautiful landscape, I mostly love being home with my family. Especially when I'm home just in time for my little brother, who has been 16 for all of 5 months, to call and confess he has wrecked the car. I'm probably a big heartless brat for laughing as he was choking back tears telling about the sun getting in his eyes, but he's not hurt... at least not physically. It was a good story and I'm sure the kidney foundation is happy to have another car donated by the Udy family. Yeah, this is the second. My parents have given more cars to the kidney foundation than they have to me. Whatever. I like to walk.

Home sweet home. Less than 24 hours and it's already been a worthwhile weekend.
