Why yes, after all my years of being a Utahn, I finally went to the Holi Color Festival.
Every spring we all see the pictures all over facebook.
Well now I'm one of those people tagged in those pictures all over facebook.
This is probably the greatest idea for a festival ever.
I'm super grateful for Hindus.
And for color.
And for spring.
And for the dyed corn starch being edible because I got plenty in my mouth.
Before. Somehow I instantly had color on me. I guess I attract it.
In the heart of the fest.
Do I love having a different color face in every picture? Yes.
Next year, I'm wearing white pants.
After. We definitely left looking like all those brownish people we didn't want to be.
Listen closely, I'm obsessed with this mantra:
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
I learned you can chant that to the beat of over 20 songs and it is equally as enjoyable every time.
Great for dancing also. Particularly on a muddy hill.
See you next year Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple.
