slam poetry

okay, who knew a night of poetry could be so worthwhile?

the beauty of this art was tainted for me in jr.high  

THANK YOU to the mayhem poets for showing me what poetry can be

i love the way they used their words to "seamlessly blend raw elements of hip hop, theatre, improv and stand up comedy to tell gut wrenching truths that leave audiences forever changed"

the best part was that they are from such a different place than me

their lives are so opposite of mine

yet i felt the importance of what their poetry was about

those are the two guys who started mayhem poets originally

this is the 3rd guy that joined up with them to complete the trio

i couldn't resist posting this one because juggling is my newest hobby

he makes it look easy, someday i'll be that good

so yeah, after i saw this slam poetry act, i felt way cultured

now i'm going to go practice my rhyming/juggling skills because clearly it's a winning combination to have a successful youtube video [which is another one of my dreams]
