Boa tarde!
Good to hear you're busy as usual, enjoying the Christmas season. We're going to the bishop's house on Christmas Eve to their family party and also on Christmas to skype our families. It'll be a great week. We're going to do contacts by singing Christmas
hymns to people as we knock doors. People are a lot more receptive that
way, it's a blessing.
This week we had our mission Christmas
conference. It was SO good. Seriously, the theme was the Atonement so
already it's like an automatic win, but all the trainings and talks were
super good. Way well prepared and powerful. It's such a blessing to be a
missionary during this time of year. My companion and I also recently
discovered that we have way more in common than we thought. I'm going to
be really sad to leave her. Also Sister Oliveira and Sister Uribe who
live with us are really great. I'm so blessed to be serving in this ward
with them. It's not the easiest area, but together we all keep going
and working hard and doing our part. There are some really good members
here too that make it a good place to serve.
I'm doing my best to keep working hard until the
end. Mostly I just want to train Sister M. Souza well so that she can
make the most of her 18 months here. She's a good missionary, I'm really
grateful that she's my companion right now.
The following picture is on top of a building that
our investigator worked to build. He was almost baptized, but had to go
back to Fortaleza Saturday. He promised to go to church there though and I have faith that he'll find the missionaries and be baptized there.
Merry Christmas!
Sister Udy
