May 13, 2013

Hello, hello!
It hasn't even been 24 hours since I talked to you so basically I have no updates. Last night we went home, went to sleep, woke up, cleaned the house, studied, came to e-mail. Yep, pretty uneventful.
That same ten people thing is funny because it is the same in every place you go. Even here, all the branches and wards basically function the same because there are only a few people who do all the work. The biggest difference I think is worthy priesthood holders. There is a huge deficiency here. Lots of missionaries out though so hopefully they will come back and stay active.
So the pictures are of me and my new comp. drinking coconut water. So delicious. The member pulled them right off the tree after lunch for us and hacked the top off with a big machete and gave them to us to drink right then and there. It was wonderful.

Also, here is some more Brazilian religious graffiti "only Jesus saves". It is written wrong, but it's the thought that counts. I think I am going to start a collection of pictures with religious graffiti. I really like it.

This next picture is of all the missionaries who were with me waiting for our new trainees to get there. Super super super great people. Seriously, I hadn't met any of them, but it was such a great day sitting around for hours in the church talking and joking around with them.
The last picture is me and my new comp. with Pres. & Sis. Hall. Seems like just yesterday I was in her shoes. But really it has been almost 10 months. WOW!!!

One more picture. Me and my new friend Elder Sene. Seriously, I don't know how I am going to live without being surrounded by hilarious Brazilians post-mission. I feel like I meet people and 5 minutes later it is like we have been best friends for years.
Until next week!
Love, Sister Laurel Udy
