Well, once again I didn't use my time wisely to
e-mail. It's fine though because Presidente Costa, general authority
here in Brazil, is going to be e-mailing you so hopefully that makes up
for this being short.
Yesterday
we had a mission conference and he came and spoke and it was SUPER
GOOD! Seriously he is way great. I had an interview with him too. I
don't know how I was selected and I was way nervous, but it was awesome.
He was super relaxed and just chatted and made me feel good about my
life and that I'm serving a mission and best part, he knew Grandpa
Drechsel. Yeah, one of grandpa's missionaries baptized his wife. I
forgot the name of the missionary, I know I should have written it down,
too late now. But he told me a story about when he was in the Salt Lake
Temple with this ex-missionary of grandpa's and grandpa came up from
behind them and called the missionary by name because he had recognized
his voice even after a bunch of years. It was really really great to
hear him talk about grandpa and how many people here in Brazil love him
and that I have such a good family. I already knew that my family is
wonderful, but it was great to finally meet someone here who I had a
connection with.
In other news, I am doing fine. My
companion and I are fine. The area is fine. We have some potential
baptisms this week, but it feels like everything is always so chancy. I
pray and pray and pray and in the end it just depends on the people's
choices and the will of God.
