Hello!
Good news! Great news! I'm
training a new missionary and she is WONDERFUL!!! Seriously I love her
so much already. I mean it's only been 24 hours, but they have been a
wonderful 24 hours. I'm just so happy to have someone new and I can
already tell we'll be friends. She's super excited to be here in the
mission field too so I think her energy will help me be more excited
again. Answer to my prayers, finally.
Also, we have another set of sisters living with us
and we are dividing the area. Funny that Emerson is training too and
that he is with 2 companionships in a ward too. Looks like the work of
the Lord is really growing in the entire world... except apparently our
home ward. Instead of joking about turning the ward into a branch maybe
they should re-do the ward mission plan to help the ward grow.
Strengthen less actives, baptize neighbors who aren't members. Invite
some of the neighbors over for dinner and start being friends with them.
I know that everyone on our street isn't baptized yet.
My companion and I
haven't taught anyone yet and she told me this morning
she is nervous. I remember my first lesson in the mission. I can't even
believe how much I've learned since then. Teaching is super normal now.
I love it. Seriously I feel like a new missionary now too, it's so good
to me. I just want to invite everyone to follow Jesus Christ and be
baptized and be happy.
We are in a new house now. It is bigger, but not
much better quality. It will improve though. I'm good friends with the
missionary who takes care of this kind of stuff in the mission office
now. I've already talked with him about arranging for an extermination
to kill the cockroaches and ants. It's not infested, but we've had a
few sightings. Also, we lost a bit of furniture in the move, it was
super chaotic. The following picture is of Italo helping us take apart the
armoir. It ended up falling completely apart and we didn't even move it
with us.
Good adventure though and it was fun with all the members
helping. There are super good people in this ward, I'm really happy to
be staying. The next picture is of our sleepover with some of
the other sisters in our house. Sister T. Souza slept in the hammock
because she was too grossed out to sleep on the mattress on the floor
after the cockroach sighting.
Next is a picture of me eating fruit
salad with a new member Charles and drinking coconut water. Everyone was
giving us tons of free snacks last week. It was great.
And finally a
picture of me with my new companion. She is super pretty, I know. The
picture isn't the best, but it's the only one I took on my camera.
She's
from Santa Catarina and her name is Sister M. Souza. I love her so much
already. I'm so much happier now.
Love you all!
Until next week!
Sister Udy
