October 28,2013

Wow, Halloween already. I forgot about this holiday. I'll have to find something fun to do with the missionaries here. I'm the only American in my house... lame. I'll have to teach them about it.
My new apartment has regular temperature water in contrast to the cold water in the old apartment. We put the electric shower head in but it isn't heating as well anymore. It's warm enough though.

I'm LOVING my new companion. More and more everyday. Everything is super funny with her. Like really I don't know if more funny things are happening or if we just love to laugh or what, but every day hilarious things happen. We laugh so much. For example, yesterday one of the members was giving a talk, he's an elderly guy with a heart of gold. Seriously, one of the members that helps the most in the ward. He is the only member in his family and does everything possible to serve the Lord. His name is Jose Luis. Anyway. He was giving his talk and in the middle his cell phone goes off, and he goes "excuse me I'm going to answer this real quick because I have a relative in the hospital".  Everyone just sat there watching him talk on the phone waiting for him to continue his talk. It was quick, but still. I just laughed it off. Things like this seem so normal now. I'm super adjusted to living in Northeast Brazil, I don't think I'll be able to adjust back to lifestyle in the US.

We've got some good people we're teaching, but could use more. Our half of the division is a bit more difficult to find new investigators. We'll succeed though. We're working really hard to excite the members about missionary work and utilize them more.

Here are some pictures but there was no explanation as to what they are. I think the following is a good Halloween photo with caskets. The picture came about because there is a member who works in our area in a funeral home. She gave us a tour when we passed by the other day and we took pictures.
This must be the 4 sisters who are living together.
Finally this must be Laurel and her new companion, Sister Souza.

That's it for today! Love you tons!
